Laptop Hard Case

A laptop hard case can be the most inexpensive accessory that you will purchase for your computer, but can be the most vital to insuring it’s longevity.  It’s important to make sure you buy a good quality laptop carrying case to protect your shiny new computer.

However, many people forget about the case, and end up with laptops that are scratched, dinged, or even broken by the process of carrying them around. A laptop hard case is a very popular choice for people who really want to know that their valuable computer is going to make it through in good shape.Laptop Hard Case

If you need a laptop hard case that is durable and that will give maximum protection for your laptop then you should maybe look for a hard case laptop bag. The best of these types of laptop hard cases are designed to withstand falls and bashes so are an excellent choice if you are doing a lot of traveling especially on busy public transport in the rush hour.

When on the look out for a good hard case laptop carriers then it is worth considering the following features:

  • Does it have enough inner padding to protect the laptop? Don’t underestimate the importance of padding. If padding is on the light side but you like the bag then you may want to purchase a laptop sleeve to go along with it.
  • Is the case made of a suitable material, in other words will it dent easily or is it sturdy enough to take a good hit?
  • Does the case have extra storage pockets for the likes of adapters, cables, and any other items you might want to carry with you and if so, are they easily accessible?

One particular laptop hard case that is definitely worth a mention is the Armor padded hard case. Not only is it reasonably priced at a couple of hundred dollars but is also slim, sturdy, and let’s face it, it looks pretty cool too.

Another choice for a laptop hard case is the Macbook sleeve carrier; it has a super tough, water repellent, abrasion resistant, ballistic nylon exterior and trim made from extra strong seat belts that will keep your Macbook real happy. Sleek but functional, the Macbook carrier has some little pockets for your cords, power supply and even a small mouse.

Finally the best choice for a laptop hard case is the Pelican laptop hard case. It is hard, watertight, crushproof, and dust proof case made to carry a laptop computer. It has a lid organizer and high density pick ‘n pluck foam for a laptop computer up to a 17″ screen. It is carried by a padded fold down handle, and an included removable padded ergonomic shoulder strap. This case is highly recommended for those who travel a lot to remote regions or varying weather conditions

No matter what laptop hard case you end up purchasing, your bound to save money protecting you laptop and adding value to it’s resell value.  You can’t go wrong adding some much needed protection to your valuable personal computer.

In my experience with laptop hard cases I have found that you cannot have a general rule of buying these cases for every one. With a metal laptop case it’s finding the balance of protection from the outer shell to the inner lining. The outer shell will hold up great for anything that might impact it from the outside, but the problem is the amount of protection that the inside may have from the case itself. People buy these overly protective laptop cases to protect there investment because they look at the outside and see…WOW nothing can damage my computer now. But, bot many people think about “Impact Resistance” When you drop your laptop in one of these cases the laptop will have a tendency to bang against one the inside wall causing some severe problems. You need to make sure that when buying one of these metal hard cases that you put extra effort in making sure that the inside is well insulated and form fitting. Making sure the laptop will not shift when the case is either dropped or hit is critical to prolonging the life of you laptop. A nice snug fit with a adamant amount of cushioning should be your buying rule.

To often people get hooked on the style of the hard case rather than how it will function as a protective case. This is the main problem I see with most non-branded hard cases. They do a really good job on making sure the case looks fantastic, but when it comes to security…they don’t offer up a lot of benefits. You can see these cases all over Ebay. Now don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of companies that find that balance of style and protection, but it’s up to your the consumer to make sure that you due diligence.
